Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
1. Overview
Timetable Maker ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at timetable-maker.example.com (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains what information we do and do not collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Because Timetable Maker is a client-side application that runs entirely in your browser, the Service is designed to collect little to no personal data by default.
2. Information We Store
All timetable data — including subjects, teachers, room numbers, notes, color labels, and theme preferences — is stored locally in your browser using LocalStorage. This data:
- Never leaves your device.
- Is not transmitted to any server.
- Is not accessible to other websites or other users of this device.
- Is removed if you clear your browser's site data.
3. Sharing & Export
When you use the Share feature, your timetable is encoded into a compressed URL using base64. This URL contains your timetable data in plain (though encoded) form. If you share this URL with someone else, they will be able to view and edit a copy of your timetable. We do not transmit, store, or log this URL anywhere on our servers.
The Export JSON / PDF / PNG features run entirely in your browser. Exported files are not uploaded to our servers.
4. Third-Party Resources
The Service loads the following third-party resources from CDNs. These CDNs may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent) in accordance with their own privacy policies:
- Tailwind CSS (Play CDN) — for styling
- Font Awesome — for icons
- Google Fonts — for typography
- SortableJS — for drag-and-drop
- html2canvas & jsPDF — for export
No analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts are loaded by Timetable Maker.
5. Cookies
Timetable Maker does not use cookies. All persistence is via LocalStorage, which is not a cookie and is not transmitted to servers on every request.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is suitable for users of all ages, including students. Because we do not collect personal information, no parental consent is required. If you believe a child has shared personal information via the contact form, please contact us and we will delete the message.
7. Future Cloud Features
If we introduce optional cloud-sync features in the future (e.g., user accounts, server-side storage), they will be opt-in only, require explicit registration, and be governed by an updated version of this Policy. The free local-only version of Timetable Maker will always remain available without accounts.
8. Your Rights
Because we do not store your personal data on our servers, most data-rights requests (access, deletion, portability) can be fulfilled by you directly: clear your browser's site data to delete your timetable, or use Export JSON to obtain a portable copy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will indicate the most recent version by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
10. Contact
